Marketing/Business Development Team Vision
To be the trusted partner and go-to marketing/business development resource for our studio members, inspiring excellence in design through cutting-edge marketing strategies.
Position Responsibilities
- Gather research data related to clients; competitors; past, current, and prospective markets; and relevant corporate experience
- Maintain list of relevant resources and achieve proficiency in understanding applicable laws in the Midwest and Florida and regulations to ensure compliant RFQ/RFP responses
- Track pre-submittal meeting schedules and attendees, identify decision-makers
- Record and distribute notes from pre-submittal and public sector meetings
- Assist in developing pursuit plans and client outreach activities ahead of RFP release
- Help to produce SOQs/proposals, including editing, writing and graphics; prepare for digital and/or print reproduction; and arrange for on-time delivery of SOQs/proposals
- Maintain systems to extract, categorize, and retrieve information related to clients, consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, visuals, and mailing lists
- Work with business development leaders to help manage seller-doer schedules to maintain regular client interactions
- Assist with events including tradeshows and client appreciation events
- Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of firm’s practice, clientele and goals for execution of collateral
- Prepare or assemble written and visual information for client presentations
- Maintain Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries for project sheets, resumes, templates and proposal elements
- Gathers, formats and maintains accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information including staff bios, project descriptions and statistics, and other information for marketing purposes
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the A/E/C or related industry preferred
- Self-motivated and self-starter attitude.
- Detail-oriented, including superb proofreading and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe InDesign required
- Knowledge of Sharepoint, Deltek Vantagepoint and OpenAsset preferred.
- Basic knowledge of marketing/business development fundamentals
- Basic understanding of the principles of layout and graphic as they relate to the development of marketing and sales collateral
- Ability to write and edit marketing content for collateral and proposals
- Excellent time and project management skills, passion for details and ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
